Join us by Clinton’s Soda Fountain at 100 W. Maple Ave. for the unveiling of our newest piece of public art. Boyhood Truman, by artist Byron Constance, depicts Harry Truman at his first job in 1898 at the age of 14 at Clinton’s Pharmacy in the same location as the current Clinton’s Soda Fountain. Byron Constance, age 97, will be at the unveiling to answer questions about the latest bronze. He is also the artist of Capt’n Harry on the corner of Liberty St. & Maple Ave.
We will have birthday cake in honor of President Truman’s birthday (May 8, 1884).
