Christmas in July

The Hallmark Channel isn’t the only place to look for a summer cool down. Come celebrate Christmas in July on the Square with movies, music, sales, specials, decor, and fun!

All Month Community Services League (CSL) Donations Each year CSL provides integrated, life changing services to nearly 20,000 individuals, and connect thousands more to temporary assistance to get through tough economic times. It’s a mission built on Bess Truman’s legacy of caring for neighbors in need. Stop in a Square retail store and scan the CSL QR code to make a direct donation. Show the store your donation confirmation and put your name on a snowflake. We will create an Avalanche of Caring wall to show the impact of local donations.

All Month Square Bucks spend at least $10 at participating retail locations and receive $5 in Square Bucks that are good August 26 – September 7.

July 11-13 – Summer Sales at select retail locations sidewalk sales have moved inside, but the savings are still hot. Help the stores make room for new fall/winter products.

July 19 – Square Soiree a night market – No, its not too early to start your Christmas shopping – even if its just for you! 113 W Lexington, the street level of Courthouse Exchange Restaurant, will be the spot. Shop a variety of vendors including some Square merchants and many local entrepreneurs. The music will be on point, drinks will be available, and you may have the chance to look in on the set of a Hallmark Christmas movie. It really is Christmas in July.

July 20 – Soul of Santa Concert 8pm in Liberty Lounge – The Soul of Santa “Do Good” Foundation is a 50l(c)(3) nonprofit organization connecting high-functioning individuals with disabilities from low-to-moderate income households to resources and support services to empower them to experience the fullness of life. In 2023 the “Do Good” Foundation released “The Soul of Santa Christmas Album” on all major streaming services.  This album will quickly become a part of your holiday listening tradition.  Featuring original music from our inspiration, AriaCamille, and other dynamic Jazz, Hip Hop, and Soul artists from Kansas City, this album has something for everyone! Featured artists will perform live in Liberty Lounge on the Square as a Sounds on the Square participant.

July 25 Habitat for Humanity @ Moonlight Movies – Christmas in July at Moonlight Movies returns with fun for everyone. Stroll for trolls, play Christmas themed games, and enjoy a free movie. The fun begins at 6:30 pm, movie starts at 9:00 pm.

July 27 – Santa Saturday is the day to find Santa photo ops on the Square. Specials will continue in stores (including Square Bucks). Enter for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate at retail locations.
