It’s going to be a fang-tastic time! The Independence Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to partner with local businesses to bring you the 76th Annual Halloween Parade – the longest-running Halloween parade in the Kansas City area! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 26th, 2024, when the magic kicks off at 10 a.m. on the Historic Independence Square.

This family-friendly event promises a fun-filled morning with something for everyone! Grab your spot along the parade route to enjoy a vibrant mix of school marching bands, community groups, dance studios, fire trucks, tractors, classic cars, and some of the most creative costumes you’ll see all year.

We’re excited to introduce Yvonne Hall, Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of Blue Ridge Bank and Trust, as this year’s Grand Marshal. The parade winds through the heart of Independence, beginning on Walnut Avenue near Pleasant Street and making its way through the scenic Square.

And the fun doesn’t stop when the parade ends! Stick around and explore the Independence Square – local merchants will be offering “Halloween Parade” specials all day long. It’s the perfect way to show your support for the community and enjoy the festive spirit!
