A festival celebrating all things POP. You will find popcorn, popsicles, pop music, pop culture, cake pops, etc. We will also have things that go POP, like water balloons and bubbles to name a few with relay races and games for kids and adults.
We introduced this festival in 2023, the year that Polly’s Pop celebrated 100 years since the brand first started. Food and Drink locations will be celebrating with unique offerings featuring the flavors of Polly’s Pop. They have become an iconic brand in the craft soda industry and we are popping off about their start here in Independence.
Festival activities will include music, carnival-style games, a suds pit, food trucks and more. The evening will end with concerts in Liberty Lounge, an urban park on South Liberty St.

The Pop Quiz activity starts early in the day. Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet at an Independence Square merchant or print it from our Facebook page. Completed forms should be turned in at the ISA tent on S. Liberty Street. Lucky winners will receive a $50 gift certificate.
Pop Show from 2p – 4p Watch a production cycle of Polly’s Pop at the production facility (306 W. Maple Ave), learn about the history of Polly’s and some of the latest updates to the brand. $2 and includes a newly capped bottle of Polly’s Pop.
Evening Concerts: 6pm – School of Rock; 8pm – Joey Marlow both at Liberty Lounge on S. Liberty Street. Seating is limited, but you are welcome to bring a lawn chair.
