Join us for a night of music, sleigh rides, and the arrival of Santa Claus. We will turn on over 1 mile of lights as the holiday season is ushered in with light. Our lighting ceremony will be led by two local actors from Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. Jamie Addison and Meagan Flynn played employees of the Chiefs and co-workers of Derrick (Tyler Hynes). The ceremony will begin at 6pm with music, dancers, and the arrival of Santa Claus. Lights will go on at 6:30 pm.
Kids are invited to Santa’s workshop in the Independence Uptown Market, sponsored by Parks & Recreation. They can play reindeer games, make crafts, write letters to Santa, and visit Santa.
Take a sleigh ride around the square, stop in shops to see their latest arrivals, grab a cup of hot chocolate or book a window seat and watch the lights as you enjoy dinner.
