Take a walk around the Independence Square and discover the pages to a children’s book, I Like Hugs, by local author David Evans. Brought to you by the Independence Square Association and Mid-Continent Public Library. Follow the map below, also available in print at Scandinavia Place, the first stop on the trail. The book is available for purchase at Scandinavia Place as well. Enjoy a stroll with your kids, grandchildren, neighbors…while exploring the unique local storefronts and checking out the construction progress of new sidewalks, safer crossings, public art, and landscaping being added to our historic downtown.
